Tapas bar transformation.
This project was carried out in the south west of England, a client of ours had mentioned he knew a guy looking for someone to transform some old waterfront changing rooms into a two floor tapas bar with a terrace. Thankfully the building was water tight already so we had the job of fitting it out, and to make the space a working restaurant, the first fix works are always of similar design but it is as always a very enjoyable process creating Floors, walls and openings.
After the works to get the project to a usable space were complete, we were able to build more interesting and bespoke ideas and incorporate them into the restaurant, as well as fitting some gorgeous Iroko windows and doors to keep this lovely space full of natural light, we would lay a reclaimed solid wood floor through out both levels to give it that rustic feel and also build a seating area throughout.
The transformation of this building was a true pleasure to work on, from the design and building of the doors, the seating, the bar and the storage room in behind the 10 inch thick walls, it was a joy from start to finish.
