13th Century Chateau.

We were asked to design and handmake a bespoke kitchen to be in keeping with this wonderful chateau. Our specification for this project was to take out the existing kitchen, which was very old and dated, and replace it with a modern, unique one. As we started on the kitchen, the client asked us to also incorporate some additional touches. We added a new tile floor, a new storage space, and made some new oak doors leading into the kitchen area.

One of the most fun and interesting parts of the chateau renovation project was the design and construction of the kitchen. We started by tiling the floor, then we set to work on the building of the kitchen itself. Everything in the kitchen was handmade to suit the dimensions of the space. It was fully constructed of 6mm, 12mm, 19mm and 25mm MDF. We hand painted every single panel of the kitchen and fitted all the doors and drawers with soft closing fixtures. We were also delighted to be able to design and build a standing welsh dresser.

After about 5 weeks of building this gorgeous kitchen we were finally able to take it from the workshop and fit it in the chateau. The process was very enjoyable, and being able to see what we had created fitted into this wonderful space was a true achievement.
